Blinking check engine but if i take out my key and wait it goes off

Asked by Oct 10, 2016 at 04:54 PM about the 2013 Kia Rio

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Check engine light blinking once my dash board
lights come on and the car cranks but no start if i
pull my key out and wait a couple of seconds all
lights come up but no blinking and the car starts
The car seems fine to me while driving it
Noshaking,acceleration is fine ,wouldn't idle
suddenly at all  and no check engine light
I did scann it the first day the proplem started
It showed starter relay error and another error that
according to to the technician can't cause my
The guy erased the 2 errors and told me to try it
which i did and the proplem came back shortly
The second time he suggested to try a new ecu and
it works fine but to be sure
I took it to the dealership they scanned it again but
showed no errors
My question
I know that a blinking check engine is indicating
serious proplems but if i wait and try again it works
and there is no check engine at all while driving if
my ecu is faulty shouldn't the show check engine
light come on if i even manage to start the engine
I did realize that the proplem isn't there in the
morning.i even start the engine a couple of times
and its fine
once i drive it to my work for like 35km and shut it
off and try start again imediatly the same thing
once it cools down it starts fine
If it is a heat proplem why there is no temp warning
on my dashboard
My car is 2013 kia rio 1.4AT
Anyone can help???
