2013 Chevrolet Traverse HELP

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For some reason every time I turn the wheel my car is making this loud
squealing sound. Now when i rev the engine to take off from a stopped
position it is now making the sound. I was thinking let the car warm up longer
and it would stop but that is not the case, the squealing is getting louder and
very annoying. Can anyone tell me what this could be?

Check the condition and tension of the serpentine belt that drives the power steering pump and check that the pump has sufficient fluid in its reservoir.

If the belt and tension on the belt is good one of the accessories is dragging. Such as the water pump, a/c compressor, alternator, A.I.R. (Smog) pump if equipped, or the power steering pump if hydraulic. HTH. -Jim

Thank you so much. Had my husband check the fluid level in the reservoir last night and he said it was extremely low. Filled it up and this morning no noise!!!!!!!!!!!
