Kia is clicking with headlight signal on

Asked by Feb 01, 2019 at 10:23 AM about the 2013 Kia Sorento

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when I went to start my car this morning my
car woul not start. We have auto start when
pushing the start button a clicking noise
came on along with all the lights on the dash
flashing. Then a signal for the headlights
came on. Does that mean the headlights
drained my battery? I always have to
automatic lights on when driving.

sounds like the battery in your remote clicker is dead or dying. The car reads the signal, but it's so weak that the car doesn't recognize it and puts the car into a security issue. Otherwise, the car thinks someone is trying to steal it. This is covered in your owners manual, available on line, just google your car.
