Fuse blows when A/C is turned on
I have a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT with a new a/c compressor and condensor
and when the a/c is switched on it will kick on and within a matter of minutes it
blows #70 fuse, what could be causing this fuse to keep blowing?
Compressor coil perhaps has a short. Don't know if that part came with your unit or not. I've purchased some rebuilt compressors and they were duds right out of the box.
Thanks we will check that.
Depending on if your compressor specifcally calls for an externally clutch or not idk if urs is the 2.0 or 3.5 your gonna be looking at a possible issue with the clutch coil or the evdc(displacement control valve) .... also it wouldnt hurt to check ground g103 which is where the compressor circuit grounds too just to make sure that connection isnt loose or excessively corroded
It is 3.5
