Hard to say, tell the guy you want your mechanic to inspect it before you buy it. That way you know what your getting into. Small price to pay for piece of mind.

8K is on the low end, book value is $9K if it is a LX. Maybe the car needs work or some maintenance?

He runs an auto body shop my sister bought her toyota from him and my mom bought her a benz all good condition never any issues

Ok, guys that run auto body shops usually get cars from auction that have body damage. They fix them up and sell them for profit. Hence the lower price. Sounds like he does a nice job tough. But if it we're me, I'd look at the Carfax to what is listed on there. Reason I caution you is if there is an accident listed on the carfax, if you ever want to trade or sell the car in the near future, you will get a reduced rate than if the car wasn't in an accident. If your going to drive it into the ground, no worries. So it's up to you then to make a decision.

I put in the vin and this was at the bottom of the report

Ok, so you confirmed it is a salvage vehicle, go by what I said above. I personally wouldn't buy a vehicle with a salvage title, put I'm picky.

Which I agree but how many more years can I drive it before running into problems I got approved for carmax 2015 kia optima for 15k and 10k miles but my note would be 337

There is no set answer on how many years. Depends on how many miles you drive a year, how long you want to keep it and how much money you want to put into it for maintenance and parts replacement. If you want my opinion, stay away from Kia's and look at Toyota's or Honda's, they have a better track history long term.

so I’m going to take that into consideration but also I had my step dad look into the 2013 kia he said everything is good so if I dont find a toyota or honda I’m going to drive off with the kia I just want it for like 4 years

Good luck in your decision, glad I could help.
