Hi guys was driving my 2012 bmw 520,
changed gear and the car lost power and
won’t crank. Is the engine gone ?

There is no way to know but the engine would not be at the top of my list. It could be a bad battery or alternator. If the check engine light is on we need the codes to better advise you.
