My BMW 5 series 2012 started making a grinding noise yesterday, its sounds like its coming from the clutch. This morning it was very difficult to change the gear while the engine was on. Please assist

I think it's your clutch but before you buy a new one, check your clutch fluid and bleed the clutch line

from what I see on 'VELOCITY" the diesels should use a conditioner in the fuel to prevent sludge , if you're having trouble getting it into gear you should have it taken care of before you ruin the tranny
