Vw mechanic says it is due to using after market

is the oil pump working or clogged ? also is the vacuum pump leaking ? this car tends to get a bad vacuum pump seal. any time i had a low pressure issue is from the filter getting sucked in due to the oil pump clogged with frozen water in the oil pan. and yes your engine can make water that will drop to the bottom of the oil pan *oil floats on water* and block your oil pump if it freezes i got an excuse once saying its from short trips in very cold weather.

I don't want to wreck the engine. It's a '12 Jetta SE. The red "low oil pressure light" came on, the warning tone sounded, and then the light went off again. It's about 13 miles to the dealer.
