2012 Chrysler 200

Asked by GuruX7KN Apr 09, 2017 at 09:25 AM about the 2012 Chrysler 200

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving at 60 mph on the highway and the engine
check light came on, then it went off and the battery light
came on, then the abs light and a bunch lights began to
flash on and off.  I lost power.  Not it will not start,
although there is some power, as all the lights seem to be
working.  Could this be a belt coming off or the alternator?
About 98,000 miles on the car.

Belt could have come off, the alternator could be bad, battery cable or battery could have failed. Raise the hood and look to see if the belt is off.

Something was interfering with the power getting from the battery to where it needs to go. Check all the belts, check the battery and cables. Don't turn it over if any of your belts are off or torn, this just adds insult to injury.
