Question type: General

when i use remote start, the climate is off, so no heating or defrosting going on,

Before you shut it off the night before, turn on heat and defrost. Leave it on. Turn car off. When you remotely start it next day it should still be on and nice and toasty when you get to it a few minutes later. It is not necessary to start it a half-hour before you intend to drive

I have tried that and it doesn't work. I left the defrost on last night and this morning after remote start I go out to the car and the car is running but the climate is off

Hmmm. Sorry Brandy, that's all I can think of. But one thing for sure is I don't now it all. Owners manual, or call or go to your dealer and ask. Good luck
