A4 Battery possible problems

Has anyone had experience of car electronic
system shutting down when driving? It’s a new
battery but the system said it wasn’t charging and
started to shut everything down while driving at
70mph. Charged it up and it seems ok now but
don’t know what caused it or if it will happen again
?

I imagine you already have an answer by now, but it sounds like you will need to replace your alternator.
