Why is my car loosing power and almost getting me killed!?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

On highway and all of the sudden the check engine light is on and the traction
control light. The car says reduced engine power and I can barely go 40 mph
on the highway almost get killed by a mack truck!
Please help!!!

Sounds like the car is going into limp mode. Since the check engine light is on, you should scan for the fault codes that are stored in the car. It could be any combination of things or sensors. This will help you and or your mechanic to pinpoint the area as to why the car is running poorly.
