My transmission goes forward but not reverse

A 1996 year vehicle, probably needs to be rebuilt by now. Check with a transmission shop for proper diagnosis.

All you can do is check the level of the transmission fluid via the dip stick when the engine is hot. If the fluid is where it suppose to be, you'll need a tranny shop.
