A/C does not turn on

I just bought a 1996 Ford Explorer.  Neither the air
or the heat will turn on.  The previous owner said
the fuse for it has to be replaced every couple of
days?  Nothing comes on at all.  The fuse does not
show it is blown.  Is there a way to route straight to
the battery or any other common problems and
simple fix lol

Could be the climate control switches- a mechanic will have to look at it- I hope you didn't pay a lot of money for that car- the owner sounds less than honest-
