If memory serves, the speedometer on my old 96 was electric. The only serviceable part are the small gears which run the odometer. I was able to locate them on line for about 20 bucks, but that was years ago. Unfortunately, once I did the repair the speedometer had to be calibrated to show the correct speed while the vehicle is in motion.
