brake lights don't work car will not shift out of park

Asked by handyman2615 Dec 13, 2014 at 01:40 PM about the 2007 Ford Taurus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drove to an appointment came out my car would not shift out of
park unless I started the car in neutral. I also realized I had no
brake lights. I changed the fuse car shifted out of park and brake
lights worked. 2 days later same problem.  I changed the fuse
and it blew as soon as the car started.
