Yep, and not just Subaru, Fords, GM's, everyone, it just happens, no reason for it, I've even seen them go bad during basic warranty, and that's under 12000 miles. But I have also seen them go for years without any problems.

21st Century cars do this, yeah- they gave up making cars that last for decades- let us mourn their passage- they will never be the same again-

Is it the compressor or is the clutch not engaging? Check YouTube for a small wiring adjustment trick if that's the case?
