2011 Forester w/blinking cruise, CEL and Yellow traction control on, what causes this?

Asked by AnneF Apr 12, 2014 at 01:57 PM about the 2011 Subaru Forester

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The 3 lights above came on. Took to mechanic.  Ran diagnostic and fuel leak code came.  checked fuel cap, could not find a fuel leak.  Reset and no lights on.  Lights came back on 2 days after getting it out of the shop.

For my 2009 Forester, those lights meant a failing catalytic converter. This was at 3 years old and 30K miles, so it's possible even in a late model, low-mileage car. I would have the dealer check it. One thing I learned after many repairs was the lights are always right - don't let a mechanic rest them without finding the cause.
