My back window has exploded two times in the last three months

Asked by Leo Nov 23, 2015 at 11:33 AM about the 2011 Honda CR-V

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Nothing hit the window.  Once it was an 80 degree day with car parked in the
shade.  Second incident occurred five days ago as I was getting gas with front
driver door open.

Has your car been in an accident? If the body has been bent some that could be a possible explanation or it may be that there is a sharp metal bump of some kind in the channel where the window glass rests. Have the glass shop carefully clean out the channel and look for problem areas and also have them check the fit carefully.
