Left rear door ajar

Check all the door jam switches one at a time by pushing on them to see if the dome lights go out.

Could be the door ajar switch/relay, but checking out http://www.ford-trucks.com you'll see several complaints about this, with members claiming the following fixes: replace door ajar switch/relay, or replace dome light relay, or reseat GEM (generic electronic module), but the most common cause was the door switch, the wire harness passes through a grommet and accordion sleeve in the jamb and is the weak point.

Can I clip the wires on the switches so my dome light goes off?
