Subaru Outback 2011

Asked by GuruS8BKH Jun 09, 2019 at 11:01 AM about the 2011 Subaru Outback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has 87k miles. So far had to
replace transmission valve and now
head gasket. Both costly repairs. This
is my first Subaru. Not sure I would
but another. Performance and
comfort great but costly to maintain

You had a head gasket failure on a FB engine? That is the first report I have seen on the new generation engine. Older cars had lots of head gasket failures but not the newer cars. The CVT is a common and expensive failure point.
