Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car just cut when I was driving to work in the morning. The only sign it
gave as it shut was lack of steering. The mechanic removed the starter but
the engine wont turn over could the car have seized the engine. The oil was
low but it never showed signs of low oil on the dash or engine sign? Does
this mean the engine seized because using a wrench was hard. All this
happened a few days the car came from the garage for an alternator and
battery problem.

If it turns with a wrench have someone turn the engine while you watch to see what isn't turning, could be the alternator or power steering pump, water pump, idler pulley ect. One of them won't turn. Also replace the belt
