Filled water into the reservoir coolant tank of my 2006 325i

Asked by May 26, 2018 at 10:02 PM about the 2006 BMW 3 Series

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was not in a place where I can get coolant
& my 2006 325i BMW was alarming that
the coolant was low, so the only thing I had
was water. I filled the tank with water not
thinking to leave room for coolant.. And,
now my check engine light is on. Do are
your thoughts? Is it safe to drive? Or do I
need to drain all the water out before
driving it?
