Driving home last night my 2011 Chevy Traverse was making a clicking noise. The engine started to sputter and once I got to a side road the check engine light came on then died. Now I'm unable to start. Does anyone know what this could be?

Hard to say without scanning for the codes. I know there are some because the CEL came on. Post the 4 digit codes back here.
