Later model!? You mean say a 2009, or 2006? And are you asking if you can legally do it? The motor will fit in an older model, but you will likely need to modify the ECU/BCM/TCU harness. Whether its legal or not is based on your state, here in NaziCalifornia as long as the motor is newer than the body, the engine can be swapped in and will pass SMOG inspection. Other states are likely to be more lenient, provided that the SMOG equipment is installed and unmodified.

Good deal, yes sir, you can install the motor and trans. It is a pretty detailed install, but it can be done. You're going to need to modify the motor mounts and transmission mounts, and make a new wiring harness. Hopefully you have the TCM/ BCM and the ECU (unless you're using a stand alone ECU... think MoTec or Haltech, AEM, Link). Anyhow good luck, and you will be very satisfied with the outcome.
