Help my 2011 dodge ram sometimes won't start, or turns off as soon as it turns off.

So my 2011 dodge 1500 sometimes has trouble starting and it has a new
battery (issues began battery replacement). The other day I parked it and
turned it off for about 4 hours. When I came back to turn it on it kept turning
off as soon as it would turn on. It took me about 30min to turn it on. I kept
trying and trying until it finally turned on. I have a feeling it might be the
alternator. I wanted to know if any guys with the same truck where facing any
similar issues and figured out what it was before I go and test my alternator.
