why my automatic transmissition shift at high rpm

my mondeo start changing gear at 3500 rpm,strangely it is ok for about 5-10
min but when wormed up it hold its gears and change at around the 3500
rpm,it feels like it is on sport mode but only i do not have the option although
there is s marking on the auto shift stick housing,the car is 2010 2,3L
