I have a 1997 Ford Taurus when I put it in reverse it
won’t move or when I put it in drive it won’t move
at all what is the problem?

Problems in forward & reverse is a sign of a transmission with worn out solenoids, clutches, gears, etc. Get the car to a transmission specialist and plan to rebuild or replace.
