How to increase fuel mileage

I used to get close to 28 mpg now I'm at 22.4 around town..but it been going
down...94,000 miles ...will a tune up do it...some say timing chain as well?

Changing the spark plugs and the O2 sensors should help some. Also proper tire pressure is critical to optimum fuel mileage.
