Buying a used forester

Is 155k miles good for a used Subaru
Forester. It’s priced at $4,990. Not worried
about the price I was just wondering if 155k
miles is too high for a used car? It has a clean
title with one owner.

How many more miles do you need to get out of the car? Think about it. I would expect another 50k IF the car was well cared for.

The risk is high that you'll lose the CVT. I'd also check to verify that a 2010 has the new triple-ply head gaskets, and that they are not leaking or showing seepage. Look at coolant levels and contamination show indicate prior use of a possible clogging sealer. Old Subies don't usually die inexpensively, but the price is right if the CVT and HGs are ok. Good luck. Client of mine is selling his 2010 OB Limited in superb condition for $5.8k today...FAR better chariot than an old Forester. Be careful....
