Asked by Jan 16, 2017 at 03:45 PM about the 1997 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed my  starter solenoid and after hooking

Recheck your work, sounds like you missed a main power fuse link wire on the positive side or the solenoid.

There should be 2 wires connected to the big terminal on the solenoid, the thick one from battery and a smaller one to the fuse link
