How do I reset my interior lights to come on when the door is opened?

Asked by GF_4444 Oct 04, 2013 at 12:19 PM about the 2010 Ford Escape

Question type: General

I made adjustments to my inside lights and now they don't come on when the door is opened. If I adjust the control so they come on, they do not shut off after 25 seconds.

If this vehicle is fairly new, it should have an info center that you can scroll through and find the setting for this.

If you have not found your answer yet, here is a possibility you may have overlooked The dash light dimmer switch will turn on your dome lights and they will stay on until the switch is moved to another position. There is a definite click felt when the switch is turned to the dome light on position. This may sound like a dumb answer but you would be surprised as to how often this is overlooked.

Turn the circular light switch all the way to the left and pull on the knob gently till you hear a click. Then a tiny parallel green light on the circular light switch will turn on. Problem Solved! Take care, Drea H.
