Do you have to pull the transmission and motor out to change the motor?
I have removed all bolts, brackets, ect. that hold the motor to the transmission and can't get the motor to separate from the transmission.
would need more information, type of car, engine, transmission, if it is an automatic, did you remove the torque converter bolts? most engines have 6 bolts holding the engine to the transmission, and some are hard to find

You are doing this work yourself? You have the hoist attached to the engine? Usually, people doing repairs at this level of difficulty do not have to ask questions like this. My thoughts: either you have missed something, or, you are not lifting correctly- the engine has to slide out in a forward direction, it will do no good to put the clutch and input shaft in a bind by trying to lift UP, initially- the radiator must be out and you must have room in front of the engine to slide it out- having said that, the other way to take the engine out is to take the engine and tranny out together, tilting them upward with the hood off- on some cars this is easier, and easier to separate the two when they are down on the ground- it depends on the car, the room, and the ease of diconnecting the driveshaft and tranny mounts- automatics are usually done like this- maybe on that Chevy they even have to be dropped out the bottom-
Did you get the one tranny to engine bolt that comes in from passenger side. Nearly impossible to see as its between the passenger side output shaft and the motor. There also two bolts at the end of that passenger side shaft that bolt to an engine bracket. This is only visible through the passenger side wheel well
Pass side on output shaft. There is a bracket there that has to be removed. Yes make sure you have your engine supported with a proper support in place
