2005 Hyundai Santa Fe automatic transmission.  It was running fine then after
being parked for 10 minutes I started the car and  the check engine light came
on and it won't go over 15 mph.

That means it is in limp in mode, take it to your favorite shop and have it checked out ASAP before it winds up really costing you.
