Car stalls after filling up. Check engine light is on
but was running fine. Now I turn the key and
nothing happens. No noise from engine. Jumping
didn't help. Any ideas?

Gas cap won't keep a car from cranking, if you have it jumped and it still won't crank, not even a click from starter, then you have a problem with a blown main fuse or fusible link or starter fuse/relay.
