my check eng. light is coming on and I dont know how to get the code off the car so I can tell what is going on also my it's starting to shift hard please help olso need owners manual for car

when was the last time u had tune up and oil change? have u had ur gearbox checked for defects? as ur car gets older, no matter how hard you take care of it...signs of wear and tear will show up...

given the age of your car i'm going to assume its OBD1 so you can check what the codes are without using a scanner. here's a little instructional http://bluefox280.tripod.com/id32.html. once you the code you can look it up online to see if its something you can fix yourself or if it's something you'll need to get fixed at a shop
