I put 2012 Toyota corolla tires on My wifes 2010 prius , now i have a tire sensor light doesn't go off . Can I maybe reprogram or do i really have to remove all sensors and switch them from Old tires
You will need to transfer the tps sensors from the old wheels to the new wheels to get the light to go off and have the system work correctly.
Your sensors have a unique radio signal that is recognized by your computer system! Once it fails to "see" all 4 it sets off a warning light! The easiest solution is to take them off the old wheel and place on the new wheel! The other solution is to reprogram them at the Dealership! I would go the cheaper route and swap them to the new wheels! If this helps your understanding please click my helpful link
New wheels aré 16" old are 15" will that make a difference
Nope its not the wheel! It is the sensor which is attached to your valve stem, the part where the air goes in ! Most sensors are attached to the valve stem!
If you put 16 wheels make sure you put 4 on ! Not just 1!
