Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car has had a smell of gas at back drivers side then today after
driving it it started idleing up.  Also after filling reservoir it has
started to run at higher temp

Sounds like the car is running rich and you are smelling unburned fuel. Another possibility is that your gas cap is not seated properly. Is it on the same side that the gas smell is coming from? As for your temp issue, it is probably not related. For this, look into things like a deteriorating water pump, clogged radiator, heater box, or hose, bad thermostat, or even a defective radiator cap.
