Can't get my MP-3 to play thru USB port?

Asked by Chrispy61 Sep 05, 2012 at 08:21 PM about the 2009 Kia Rondo

Question type: General

Tried my daughter's MP-3 player by plugging into USB port.  Did not read.  Does it have to be plugged into AUX port instead or the music needs to be a certain format?

what model mp3 player? mp3 format does work the best. it should play audio either through the usb port or aux port depending on the device that is attached.

I would use the aux port. Unless Im wrong, generally the USb only charges the device.
