Is there a difference in a 2009 kia rio in gas?

Asked by Integra_5279 Mar 02, 2017 at 12:14 PM about the 2009 Kia Rio

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have 09 kia rio. Engine went south. Ordered engine
from canada. So far gapping the spark plugs were
different. I think .032 from normally a .044. So
does it use different gas? I mean since it came
from canada.

Octane ratings for Canada are pretty much the same as in the states except you can get 94 octane super premium. The only reason to gap plugs that narrow would be a low energy ignition system.
