is it possible to put a honda prelude 2.2 1994 engine into a honda civic 1995 hatchback and can you give me a rough idea of how much it will cost

Hi barbphil7. The Civics of that model year and also in that whol generation of Civics, were were only offered with 1.5L engines so I'm guessing it's not a natural fit. But anything is possible. The more important question is if there's anybody around you willing to give it a go. I'd start with local junkyards who also do service. They are the creative mechanics in your area and if it can be done they'll probably be willing to give it a shot. Try a few places and get a handful of quotes if you can. Warranties are big too, make sure of what's covered, and for how long, before you have the work done. Good luck!
