1987 Honda Accord starting issues

My 87 accord ran perfectly fine in the
morning when I drove to school. I got out and
now it won’t even crank over. I’m pretty sure I
left my lights on, on accident so I asked for a
jump from a buddy.. as soon as the cables
where on I had power but as soon as I turned
the key it didn’t even click.. nothing
happened, I still had power But it didn’t even
try to start.. help please I need this car for
work
