Question type: Maintenance & Repair

97 crown vic. overheated due to alternator bolt snapping and now slight rough idle and starts a little shaky. changed plugs, checked for blown head gasket changed pcv valve & cleaned throttle body & maf sensor. checked for vacuum leaks. and i also have some sore of exaust leak i believe because at moving speeds you can hear a weird pinging noise and also when start/ idle.

the car was a smooth as butter before the alternator bolt snapped which caused it to overheat for approximately 2 minutes. i was fast acting and pulled over and turned it off
