It's won't hurt it, but short trips are not good on the drivetrain because the engine does not get a chance to heat up and get the exhaust hot enough to burn off the condensation. But with that being said, my vehicles get short trips and they are fine after 10 years. As long as you drive one or two days on longer trips or errands, you should be fine.
