Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was in my car today listening to the radio when all of sudden it shut off, after I removed the key and
popped the hood I heard a clicking sound still coming from under the hood. I thought it might be
battery so I asked a friend for a jump after a few minutes a little smoke was coming from the terminals. I
removed the cables immediately, went got a new battery - no change.
