Car wont accelerate

Asked by May 21, 2017 at 11:04 PM about the 2001 Honda Passport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a i used 01 honda passport from a relative
today.. The car drove fine earlier and now the car
wont accelerate pass 20mph. It rides smooth until
it reaches 20mph and then it makes a loud noise
and starts pulling. There is also no oil in the car (i
just found that out) .it is too late at night to bring it
to a mechanic but im going to get an oil change in
the morning to see if that helps.. I know you
wouldnt know exactly what is causing it ,But before
i get the oil changed i wanted to know if No Oil
could cause the car to not accelerate or does that
not have anything to do with it... Please help
