Question type: Maintenance & Repair

what type of oil do i put to my 2009 impala with the 3.5 and 120,000 miles ,
says 5w 30 but synthetic or normal or high miles? thx

42,830

I have a 2004 Taurus with 125,000 miles and it seems to like Mobil 1 High Mileage Synthetic 5w-30. I change it once a year or 10,000 miles and it stops leaks in older engines. WalMart has a five quart jug for about $25. My engine is so clean it looks brand new and synthetics will not cook and sludge up like conventional oils under extreme conditions. Synthetic oil is only $10 more a jug. Other brands are just as good but go synthetic.
