Accessory power socket not working

Asked by Jun 04, 2019 at 03:57 AM about the 1997 Holden Apollo

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, my power socket is no longer working. The
other day I unplugged my fm transmitter and saw
random (three) pieces of metal loose in the bottom.
Took them out and can’t put back together, it
doesn’t seem right for them to be in there and
hasn’t noticed it before. Now my socket isn’t
working, isn’t the device fault as the fm works in
other cars. Checked the fuse and it looked good
not blown. I don’t know if I need to fully replace the
socket. Holden Astra hatchback 2007
