Had the alternator replaced and now I have electrical issues

Asked by Aug 04, 2018 at 05:56 PM about the 2002 Honda Odyssey

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The vehicle is a 2002 Honda Odessey Minivan. I had the alternator replaced.
And now I have electrical issues. The passenger window won’t work. The heat
stays on the whole time blowing on high. Even though the heat is not on. I
had to pull out the relay in the fuse box under the hood, for it to turn off. I
have to unplug the battery every time I stop or the battery will overcharge.
And leak battery acid out the top of the battery. I know this because I came
out to start the van and it wouldn’t start. So I went to check the battery and it
was sitting in over 3 inches of battery acid. So, I had to replace it with another
battery. All the lights on the dash are lit up and flickering. And the car does
not pick up speed. Don’t drive it anymore but tried to start it and now it won’t start and before it did.
