why wont my car accelerate?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The engine light kept coming on so I was told to disconnect and
reconnect the battery. After this I have had trouble taking out the key
and when it starts it just creeps along no matter how muchi  accelerate.
Can anyone please help?

Security .. go to a gm dealer. Those cars have issues with it I've heard. Haven had the pleasure yet of fixing one. To my knowledge it's a computer issue and the security program.
